Today's automotive exhaust systems must meet the ever-increasing demands of tightening environmental regulations. They must offer extended life to meet manufacturers’ warranties (up to 10 years) and they must do so at lower and more competitive costs every year. Techalloy Welding Products offers stainless steel solutions for the automotive market. We have a full range of ferritic and austenitic stainless steel welding wire grades for all exhaust functions. The most popular ferritic alloys include 409Cb (11% Chromium) and the higher performance 430LCb (18% Chromium). The austenitic (Chromium and Nickel) grades include 307, 308L, and 309L. All of these wires are available in our high productivity Tech-Pak Drums and spools.

Cleaner burning engines, used to haul the heavy loads in today's trucks and SUV's require extreme duty fasteners that can stand up to 1200 degrees or more of heat. That's when Central Wire is called upon to provide one of its wide ranges of stainless steel or nickel alloys to fit the auto designer's requirements. Our alloy A-286 is called out for its high resistance to heat and stress relaxation. Additional clean air requirements will demand even greater resistance to elevated temperatures, and that's where the Central Wire metallurgical engineers devise more exotic materials to fit this need.

Central Wire provides a number of wire products for automotive use in 302HQ, 304, 305, 316, 17-7, 409, 410, 430, 431, 434, and A-286. We manufacture wires for springs, cold formed fasteners, forming wire for exhaust system hangers, flat wire for wipers, slide formed wire components, stainless steel wool and other complex parts for use in a number of on and off- road vehicles. Our quality meets the stringent guidelines set forth by our customers, many of whom hold QS certification.
