The food service and restaurant industries, plus dairy, beer, wine and food processing plants, depend on stainless steel to meet the high standards required for the safe manufacture of their products. Techalloy has a strong customer base and extensive experience in this market segment. We have the products to fabricate your alloys. Most food applications are based on 316-type stainless steel. Techalloy offers 316-type stainless steel in high flow 316LHS grade in MIG sizes and packages and 316L-16 and –17 coated electrodes for the SMAW process.

Techalloy wire is used in a wide variety of finished parts and assemblies for the purpose of mixing, transferring or conveying food products. Whether it involves an application to fast freeze our various food products, or to proof, bake or deep fry other products for consumer consumption, our food grade varieties of stainless steel can be used with confidence.

Many of our wire products are purchased either in the highly formable annealed condition, or with some degree of built in cold work for added strength. Some food conveyor belts are even produced from our wire in the full hard spring temper condition, to resist any belt surface deformation from frozen foods that may become lodged or frozen to the belt. We can provide our wires to the food industry with an optional satin matte finish, or with a bright lustrous finish as is customarily provided.

Stainless steel grades Type 304, 316, and 430-L are often specified as alloys for food contact. Techalloy can offer many other grades which have attractive attributes that can help customers with their unique applications.
